Afghanistanian President Ashraf Ghani stressed the need for a fair, free and transparent presidential elections as he addressed the nation on Eid al-Fitr.
Ghani wished everyone a happy Eid and said he appreciates the Afghan forces "bravery" and efforts who are on the frontlines to ensure the safety of the people.
He called on all presidential candidates to sit with him and talks about "moral principles" of the elections and reach an agreement in this respect.
He called on Afghan Defense and Security Forces as well as the civil servants to remain impartial in the upcoming elections.
Ghani said his meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan in Saudi Arabia this week was productive and that he will meet Khan in Islamabad on June 27.
He announced the release of 887 prisoners as he addresses the nation on Eid.
